With a PhD in Social Psychology, he has worked in education since 2002 and previously served as a grant writer and with the U.S. Department of Justice. He also serves on the editorial board of the Behavioral Sciences of Terrorism and Political Aggression journal.
This systematic review compares cult and terrorist recruitment, using PRISMA methodology to show shared mechanisms of radicalization and arguing for greater integration of cult studies into terrorism research.
